Up-Late

This painting captures one of those magical motorcycling moments that only a biker understands. Done from the rider's perspective, he's forgotten his clears and is pulling in to Deadwood, South Dakota with his shades on the edge of his nose. Eyes watering, looking for a parking space, gal on the back, there's lots of hidden details that this biker has to comprehend in a fraction of a second. Notice the people in the windows?

This painting was completed years ago and I remember standing in the middle of the street taking reference Photos. Deadwood hasn't changed much over the years and "Up Late" remains a consistent seller on my annual trek to Sturgis every year.
