Behind Bars
For my fourth painting in the Laughlin River Run series I chose to paint a bartender’s perspective. While the setting has been made up in my mind, somehow it all seems familiar. If you’ve been to Laughlin you’ll notice the details of this painting consist of elements found during the River Run of 1998 – including the grasshopper plague. There's $100.00 chips on the bar, her jean tag reads "Bite Me", you can't tell if the slot machine is a winner, and there's several Dolphins hidden in this one. My Buddy Dolphin John came up with the title, so I hid some for him.
The Original Painting is in a private collection in Los Angeles CA. 1999
